Clifford Ojeriakhi Imudia

1936-2011

Clifford O. Imudia was born in 1936 in Owuwu quarters of Oza-Nogogo, Agbor, Ika South local government Area of Delta State.

When Clifford Ojeriakhi Imudia grew up in 1953, he joined the boxing team of Oza–Nogogo youths and began to train. Between 1956 and 1962, he became a skillful boxer which made him the overall champion within the period throughout the entire area. He fought and defeated his opponents at every given tournament he featured.

Within the same period, Clifford Ojeriakhi Imudia was in an apprenticeship in bicycle repairs at Agbor from 1954 to 1957. Clifford Ojeriakhi Imudia later established his workshop as a bicycle repairer in Owuwu in the late 1950s.

Besides all the aforementioned areas of excellence, Clifford Ojeriakhi Imudia was a great farmer. Although he did not have access to a formal education, he was always longing for civil service. In 1964, he gained employment in the then Urban Water Board, Midwestern state. Clifford Ojeriakhi Imudia served at Ubiaja and Uromi in the present Edo State and Agbor within the period spent in civil service. He retired from service as a foreman in 1986.

Clifford Ojeriakhi Imudia gave his life to Christ in the late 1960s during the era of Bishop Nicholas of the then Anglican Diocese of Asaba. Since then, Clifford O. Imudia has been a devoted Christian until his last day on earth. Clifford Ojeriakhi Imudia has contributed immensely to the uplifting of the Anglican Communion in Oza-Nogogo where he was a church elder.

Clifford O. Imudia inspired and encouraged young men and women to always aspire to any height they can imagine. Clifford Ojeriakhi Imudia was a counselor, orator, and he stood for the truth at all times. He hated oppression and defended the weak and the most vulnerable around him.

Clifford O. Imudia was a very kind hearted, loving, caring, and one that always showed concern to the welfare of other people. Realizing the importance of education earlier on during his civil service career, Clifford O.Imudia encouraged every young person around him to focus on education and use it as a means of climbing the social strata.

Mr. Imudia your support to human life has already granted you heaven. Your name will continue to reign here on earth
